Length × width × depth, plus waste. Depth is a thickness (inches or millimetres). Bags use 0.45 ft³ per 60 lb bag and 0.60 ft³ per 80 lb bag.

Calculation method
A 10×10 ft slab 4 in thick is 33.3 ft³ (1.23 yd³) before waste. Ten percent waste is common for small pours. Metric mode shows m³; bag counts still follow US 60/80 lb yields as a planning number.
Exact formula
cu ft = L × W × (depth_in / 12) × (1 + waste/100). cu yd = cu ft / 27. Metric volume is the same pour in m³.
